Top 10 WRs in the NFL

1 Calvin Johnson –Megatron is the physical freak of the NFL with great size speed and leaping ability he broke Jerry Rice single season receiving yard record and finished the year with 1,964 yards Calvin is by far the best wr in the NFL.

2 Andre Johnson – There was questions if Johnson was the same player and if the injuries made him a shell of his former self he silenced all of those critics by having the best year of his career catching 112 passes and having 1,598 receiving yards Johnson is one of the best route runners in the league and has great hands.

3 A.J Green- Green is an tremendous wr the second year player has already put himself with the leagues best is an very good route runner and is great at the jump ball and with more talent being surrounded by him Green should get even better.

4 Larry Fitzgerald- Larry Fitz had one of the worst season of his career but mostly due to horrendous qb play Larry still has the best set of hands in football an should have a great rebound season.

5 Brandon Marshall- Marshall united with Jay Cutler again and turned back into an top 5 wr 118 catches 1,508 and 11 tds Marshall is one of the most physical wrs in the NFL and almost impossible to take down with arm tackles as Cutlers favorite target Marshall should continue to produce great numbers.

6 Roddy White- White cut down on his drops and became a better blocker an had one of his best years 92 catches 1,361 yards even though Julio is the more talented wr White is for now still the better player and the Falcons number 1 option.

7 Julio Jones- In terms of physical ability only Calvin Johnson can rival Jones size 6-3 220 to go with his 4.3 speed Jones showed in the NFC Championship game how dominant he can be and he has improved his route running won’t be surprised if Jones Overtakes White this year as the Falcons best wr.

8 Vincent Jackson –Vincent Jackson first season with the Bucs was a career year for him lead the NFL in yards per catch with and finished the year with 72 catches 1,384 yards and 8 tds Jackson is a big wr who has speed and one of the best at getting the ball at it’s highest point.

9 Hakeem Nicks- Nicks had an injury plagued year with his foot and then his knee nicks Is one of the top wrs in the NFL who when healthy is an great route runner with bear paws for hands while Cruz gets the headline Nicks is by far the best wr for the Giants.

10 B Dez Bryant-We have heard of Dez potential since he came into the NFL and only have seen flashes of it but the last 8 games of the season Dez was a monster and started showing off the play making skills of another Dallas Wr who wore #88 In the 90’s Dez is a physical wr who is very good after the catch and good at jump balls his route running is still suspect but if the last 8 games was a sign Dez is here to stay.

Just missed the cut Reggie Wayne Percy Harvin Dwayne Bowe Victor Cruz Mike Wallace Randall Cobb

TOP 10 Quaterbacks heading into the 2013 season

Top 10 Quarterbacks in the NFL

1 Aaron Rodgers- Was given the largest contract in NFL History and as the best qb in the NFL he deserves t there really isn’t any noticeable weakness in his game has a quick release strong arm great in the pocket and outside the pocket and is mobile enough Rodgers is already a Super bowl Champ and is league mvp and as long as the Packers have him they will be contenders.

2 Tom Brady – It’s been a while since Brady has held up a Lombardi but he is still at the top of his game even though his deep throw accuracy has declined some what Brady still threw 34 tds last year and lead the Pats to the Afc Championship game.

3 Peyton Manning- Manning came back from what looked like career ending injuries to lead the Broncos to a 13-3 season while throwing for over 4,600 yards and 37 tds Peyton might not be what he used to be physically but he is still one of the best.

4 Drew Brees- Brees had another great season stat wise 43 tds and passing for over 5,000 yards in his first season in New Orleans without Sean Payton but he did have his first losing season as a starting qb since 2007 and threw 19 interceptions with Payton back calling plays look for Brees to have another great season and for the Saints to be back in playoff contention.

5 Eli Manning- Eli Missed out on throwing for 4,000 yards for the first time since 2008 and the Giants missed the playoffs after winning the Super bowl but Manning still had a good season throwing for 26 tds and over 3,800 yards all while his best wr was hurt the entire year with a healthy Nicks Eli should have a better year an the Giants should be back in the Playoff hunt.

6 Ben Roethislisberger- Ben lost his best deep threat Mike Wallace to the Dolphins and missed 3 games last year and the Steelers missed the playoffs but Ben still had an very good season Ben is one of the best Qbs at improvising and being able to create outside the pocket.

7 Joe Flacco- Flacco had an incredible run in the Playoffs that made him get a mega contract and the Ravens second super bowl win Flacco hasn’t put up great fantasy football stats but he has an impressive playoff resume and he probably has the strongest arm in football and has won at least 1 playoff game in each of his years in the NFL Flacco is now heading into the prime of his career.

8 Matt Ryan- Ryan had the best year of his career leading the Falcons to the NFC championship game career highs in passing yards 4,719 and tds 32 Ryan has arguably the best weapons in the NFL with Roddy White Julio Jones Tony Gonzalez and Steven Jackson the Falcons should be one of the top teams in the NFL.

9 Andrew Luck – The number 1 pick helped lead to the Colts to a 11-5 record with no kind of running game and a horrible offensive line Luck didn’t put up the stats that RG3 and Wilson had but he had a bigger impact on a less talented team once Luck gets talent around him he will be one of the best in the NFL.

10 Russell Wilson – Wilson put up a great season as a rookie 26 tds an a 100 qb rating an won a playoff game now with the added help of the explosive multi purpose weapon in Percy Harvin Wilson and the Hawk will be fighting for the division with the 49ners.

Just missed the cut RG3, Tony Romo, Philip Rivers, Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Jay Cutler

Floyd Mayweather's legacy

Floyd Mayweathers legacy
Floyd Mayweather is coming off a year away from the boxing ring and put on a 12 round boxing clinic on the overmatched Robert Guerrero to keep his record to a perfect 44-0 with 26 wins by KO. In the fight Mayweather showed off his amazing speed and his legendary defensive ability as Guerro could barely hit him, and Floyd also used his lightening quick hands to land numerous blows to Guerro. So where does Floyd Mayweather rank historically Mayweather himself has said on numerous occasions that he is the greatest fighter of all time. I wouldn’t go as far as saying mayweather is the best fighter of all time but he is by far the best fighter of his era beating numerous champions such as Arturo Gatti, Zab Judah, Oscar Delahoya, and Ricky hatton, Cotto, Shane Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez. Mayweather is recognized as the greatest defensive fighter of all time rarely getting hit with clean shots and also known for his great ring Kraft and multiple combination blows. The only things that are so called damaging to Mayweathers legacy is one the fighters of his era Floyd can fight with his c game stuff an still come out on top, and the other is so called ‘ducking” opponents as his critics say he ducked fights with Antonio Margarito and Manny Pacaquio two fighters who suffered k.o loss to Shane Mosley and Juan Manuel Marquez two fighters Floyd Dominated. I don’t believe Floyd is the best fighter of all time, but it isn’t a stretch to have him  in consideration I would put him in the same category in the top  7 with the great Sugar Ray Leonard who said this about Floyd “He is the epitome of a champion”.

Who is Next for Floyd

Who is next for Floyd?

After a year away from the ring the pound for pound number 1 fighter Floyd Mayweather made his return to the ring and dominated Robert Guerrero for 12 rounds to win a unanimous decision victory. Floyd showed no rust in the ring as he used his amazing speed and elusiveness to dodge every punch Guerrero threw and Floyd used his amazing hand speed to tag Guerro throughout the entire fight so the question is who will Floyd fight on September 12 here are some potential  opponents

1 Canel Alvarez 42-0-1 32 KO’s

Canelo Alvarez the WBC Light Middle weight has been put on the center stage recently as the newest guy who people think can beat Floyd Canelo is a young aggressive fighter who has power and is coming off an impressive win over Austin Trout but Canelo is also scheduled to fight on September 12th a Canelo vs. Floyd is the fight most boxing fans want to see.

2 Amir Khan 28-3 19 KO’s

Just a few years ago Khan was thought as boxing’s next superstar a couple losses later and Khan isn’t looked at in the same way but he is still an extremely talented fighter who has been running his mouth about Floyd for quite some time so if the fight did happen the promo leading up to the fight could be filled with legendary trash talk.

3Manny Pacquiao 54-5-2 38 KO’s

The mega fight that all of boxing world wanted a few years ago has lost some of its luster especially after Pacquiao’s brutal knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez but this fight would still be a big time box office draw between the 2 biggest boxing stars of this era.

4 Juan Manuel Marquez 55-6-1 40 KO’s

Juan Manuel Marquez and Floyd fought in 2009 and Floyd dominated the fight but coming off that huge knock out win over Manny maybe Juan would like to get revenge against Floyd.

5 Miguel Cotto 37-4 30 KO’s

Cotto and Floyd fought an entertaining fight which Cotto landed a few hard punches on Floyd and looked impressive in defeat Cotto lost his last fight to Austin Trout but Cotto is still a big name who did enough in the first fight with Floyd to make a potential rematch seem interesting.

Lakers shouldn't go after Brandon Jennings

Lakers should not go after Brandon Jennings
The Lakers need to get younger faster and more athletic especially on the perimeter but going after free agent to be Brandon Jennings isn’t the answer. Jennings is from California so I’m sure he would be very interested in coming back  home to play for the Lakers, but the Lakers shouldn’t go after him while Jennings is an extremely fast explosive scorer evidence by his career high 55 points as an rookie he wouldn’t be a good fit in LA. Jennings is an 2 guard in a pg. body he is a high volume shooter career fg percentage around 40% and isn’t an pass first pg. 6.5 apg is his career high, while signing Jennings would look like a nice splash name wise it wouldn’t be wise in a basketball sense.
