Power Rankings top 10 teams for 2012 MLB Season

Texas Rangers-The two time defending A.L Champs added 25 year old Japanese Ace Yu Darvish to cope with the loss of C.J Wilson and they still have a great lineup especially if sluggers Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz can stay healthy until proven other wise they should still be considered the favorites in the A.L
New York Yankees The added additions of Michael Pineda and Hiroki Huroda and the return of Andy Pettitte should turn what was once thought as weakness in the rotation into a strength The Yankees still have a great lineup lead by Robinson Cano and Curtis Granderson and the best 7th 8th and 9th Inning relievers in baseball in Soriano Robertson and Rivera the only question with this team is will this be the year age finally catches up to their veteran stars

Detroit Tigers- The Tigers have the best 3-4 Hitters in Baseball with Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder and also have the best pitchers in baseball in Justin Verlander questions remain on who will be their 5th starter.

Philadelphia Phillies They still have Roy Hallady Cliff lee and Cole Hamles but time may be running out on them as their lineup isn’t as great as it used to be with Ryan Howard and Chase Utley being out for a significant time to start the season. The bullpen should be better with the addition of Jonathan Papelbon

Tampa Rays The Rays have arguably the best rotation 1 through 5 in baseball with James Shields   David Price Jeremy Hellickson Matt Moore and Jeff Niemann but can they score enough runs? They will need Evan Longoria to have a bounce back year and for Carlos Pena and B.J Upton to be productive

Anaheim Angels –The Angels where the big winners this off season with the addition of future hall of famer Albert Pujols and pitcher C.J Wilson they have a very good rotation with jarred weaver Dan Haren and Ervin Santana questions still linger about their bullpen and will Kendry Morales be able to be the same player he was before the injury

St Louis Cardinals They lose the best hitter of this decade in Albert Pujols but the world champs still have a good lineup with Matt holiday lance Berkman Carlos Beltran and world series hero David Freese. The return of Adam Wainright should strengthen up the rotation

Boston Redsox The Legendary September collapse got the manger fired and made the Gm leave. The Redsox still boast a great line up with Adrian Gonzalez Dustin Pedrioa Jacoby Ellsburry and David Ortiz and they expect a bounce back year from Carl Crawford will help the team greatly. The Redsox still have questions markets in rotation after Lester and Beckett and also need to see if Andrew Bailey can replace Jonathan Papelbon

Atlanta Braves The Braves like the redsox looked like they where going to coast in the playoffs but then had a terrible September and lost their playoff spot. The Braves have a talented Rotation in Tommy Hanson Jarir Jurrijens and Tim Hudson their offense will need Jason Heyward to bounce back after his sophomore slump to compete with the Phillies for the Division.

Milwaukie Brewers They lose a ton of offense with Prince Fielder leaving but they still have N.L Mvp Ryan Braun and 2 aces at the top of the rotation in Yovani Gallardo and Zack Greinke and a emerging elite closer in John Axford
