Top Ten Cornerbacks heading into the 2012 season

Top Corner Backs heading into 2012

1 Darelle Revis is the undisputed best cb in the NFL and has been for the last 3 years uses his size strength and speed to jam the bigger wrs on the line and has enough straight line speed to stick with the speedy wide outs He also is probably the best run stopping corner Revis island has shut down great wrs such as Andre Johnson Calvin Johnson Hakeem Nicks and Brandon Marshall over the last 2 seasons No nfl player has a bigger gap between himself than the rest of the competition as Revis does

2 Jonathan Joseph left the bungals and helped turn Houston’s secondary into one of the best in the league he is a physical corner who can play the run and is very fast and athletic and can cover the best wr stride for stride.

3  Ladrius Webb was tremendous for the ravens in 2011 didn’t allow a single td all year long used his size and speed to blanket wrs and was rewarded by Baltimore with a nice extension

4 Brandon Flowers might be the most underrated Corner in the NFL while small in stature plays very physical and has great ball skills

5 Corey Webster The Giants passing defense was horrible in 2011 but don’t blame that on Webster he was great with a career high 6 interceptions he always covers the number 1 wr and blankets them as good as anybody in the NFL not named Revis

6 Nmandi Asomugha Nmandi was the Eagles big free agent pick up and was tested more by nfc qbs in 2011 than he was tested by qbs in the afc over the last year had trouble Getting. Used to playing in Phillies zone scheme always a player I thought was overrated a shut down corner who never covers number 1 wide outs but with Philly going to a man to man type of defense maybe he can get back to the elite cb status he had a few years ago

7 Joe Haden Extremely talented it would shock me if haden didn’t put himself in the top 3 corners by this time next season has elite cover skills and is a good tackler didn’t have any interceptions last year manly because qbs stopped testing him

8 Charles Woodson Future Hall of famer Woodson was awful last year as was all players on the packers defense his shut down corner days may be over but he is still a great player capable of getting a interception or forced fumble on any play

9 Chris Gamble might be the most underrated corner in the NFL He able to semi contain wr such as Roddy White Greg Jennings Larry Fitz and Calvin Johnson in 2011

10 Brent Grimes Grimes is a short but physical player who grades out well on almost everything you want a corner to be good at.
Just Missed Brandon Browner Champ Bailey Carlos Rodgers Tramon Williams Asante Samuel
